CLEANING EQUIPMENT
Cleaning is accomplished by passing the nuts through a specific gravity separator which sorts out any light particles such as twigs, shells, dust etc. as well as heavy items such as stones, glass, coins etc. A destoner seperates the extracted stones from heavy kernels which are guided back into the main stream. This can be supplemented by a screen which removed any occasional large items. This cleaning line is recommended if you do not have your own shelling plant because during transportation some contamination does occur.
